Terms of service

What you're agreeing to,
in plain English.

Short version: a one-time $750 build fee buys a finished website of three to five pages, written, designed, and launched in three working days, yours once it is paid for. You can walk away before we start.

Last updated 24 August 2026.

Who you're dealing with

Site in Three is a sole proprietorship operated by E. Ihaddadene in Portland, Oregon. There is no agency, no team, and no account manager. You deal with the person who builds your website. Reach us at hello@siteinthree.com.

What the one-time $750 build fee buys

  • A finished website of three to five essential pages, with the exact page structure chosen for what your business needs
  • Buyer-focused website copy, written and organized by us from the information you give us
  • A custom design developed from the homepage concept you approved
  • Mobile optimization and clear calls to action on every page
  • Contact form setup, domain connection, and basic search setup
  • Two rounds of revisions on day three, before launch
  • Launch assistance: we put the site live and check it works
  • Built in three working days from the agreed start date, assuming we have your information, the first payment, and your day-three feedback without delay

The full list of what is and is not included is on the how it works page, and it forms part of these terms. If something you need is on the "not included" list, we will tell you before taking payment.

Basic search setup means page titles, descriptions, headings, a sitemap, and readable business details. It is not an SEO campaign, and we do not promise rankings, traffic, inquiries, or revenue.

The free homepage concept

The homepage concept is one page showing the creative direction we propose for your business. It is not the finished website: it is not written out in full, connected to your domain, or live. Requesting one buys nothing and commits you to nothing.

It is genuinely free and carries no obligation. We never ask for payment details to produce one. If you decide not to go ahead, nothing is owed and we will not contact you again beyond our reply.

The concept remains our work until you engage us to build the site. You are welcome to decline it; you are not licensed to take that design to another developer to build.

What we will never ask you for

  • Your domain registrar password or account login
  • Your hosting account password
  • Your email account password
  • Card or bank details in order to produce the free homepage concept

We connect your domain using the DNS records you add yourself, or by you granting limited access you can revoke. If anyone claiming to be us asks for a password, it is not us.

Payment

Half of the $750 is due before the build starts, and the remaining half when the site goes live. One build fee, charged in two parts. We send an invoice. The three working days begin the working day after we have both your first payment and the information we need from you.

There is no third payment and no ongoing or monthly payment to Site in Three.

Costs that are not ours

Domain registration, hosting, and any website platform are billed to you by those providers directly, in your name, and they renew on those providers' own schedules. We do not mark them up and we do not collect them. We will show you the options and what they cost before you commit to anything.

Cancelling and refunds

  • Before the build starts, cancel for any reason and the deposit is refunded in full.
  • Once the build has started, the deposit covers work already done and is not refundable, but you owe nothing further. We send you the work produced up to that point and you are free to use it. It will be an unfinished site, and we do not support or launch it.
  • If we decide we are not the right fit, which we sometimes do, you get a full refund regardless of stage.

Who owns what

On final payment, the finished website design and its code are yours outright. Your domain is registered in your name and your hosting account is in your name. There is no license and no lock-in: your site does not depend on any ongoing payment to us. It does depend on your domain, hosting, or platform staying active, since those are yours to keep up.

We may show your finished site as an example of our work. Tell us you would rather we didn't and we won't. No reason needed.

What we need from you

You are responsible for supplying your business information, and for having the right to use any logo, photograph, or text you send us. If you send us material you do not own, we cannot use it, and delays caused by missing content move the launch date.

Revisions beyond the two rounds

Two rounds covers wording, photographs, color, and ordering. Revisions are two rounds, not unlimited. A fundamentally different design direction after day two is a different project. We will say so plainly and quote it rather than quietly running out of time.

What we don't promise

We build you a well-made website and write the words on it. We do not promise search rankings, traffic volumes, inquiry numbers, customer counts, or revenue, because nobody honestly can. Anyone who does is guessing.

We are not liable for losses arising from your website being unavailable due to your hosting provider, your domain registrar, or circumstances outside our control. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us.

After launch

You own a finished, working website and the engagement ends. There is no retainer and no monthly plan. If we built something wrong, we fix it at no charge. Tell us within 30 days of launch. After that, or for changes to something working as intended, we quote the work honestly, or show you how to make small edits yourself.

Which state's law applies

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Oregon. If a dispute comes up that we cannot settle between ourselves, it belongs in the state or federal courts serving Portland, Oregon.

Either of us can still bring a claim in small claims court, where that court has jurisdiction.

This is standard for a one-person business and it is not meant as a threat. It is here so that if something ever goes wrong, neither of us has to argue about which state's rules apply before we can start sorting it out.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. The terms that apply to your project are the ones in force on the day you engage us.

Questions

Anything here that seems vague is a mistake on our part. Email hello@siteinthree.com and we will clarify it, and probably reword this page.
